Terms of service

dontapplyai is operated by dontapply.ai, Inc. If you're signing up for a company, you're agreeing to these terms on behalf of that company.

1. What dontapplyai does

dontapplyai shows interview questions in a way that makes them hard for AI tools to read from a shared screen. This slows down AI assistance during an interview and helps the interviewer spot signs that a candidate may be using AI, such as long pauses, answers that don't fit the question, or decoy words turning up in an answer.

2. What dontapplyai doesn't do

dontapplyai can't guarantee that every AI tool will be stopped, or that all AI use will be noticed. AI tools change quickly, and a candidate could still copy a question out by hand or take a photo of the screen.

Nothing dontapplyai shows you is proof that a candidate has cheated. It's there to help you decide what to ask next. All hiring decisions are yours.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for anything that happens under it. Please don't share one account between several people.

4. Using dontapplyai fairly

Only use dontapplyai for interviews you're allowed to run, and follow the employment and data protection laws that apply to you and your candidates. Please don't try to copy, scrape or reverse engineer our image designs.

5. Payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Free trials need a card, and you won't be charged until your trial ends. Each card gets one free trial: a card that has already had one, on any account, does not start another, and nothing is charged.

If the first payment after a trial fails, live interviews stop until it is paid. If a later payment fails, the plan keeps working for up to 21 days while Stripe tries the card again.

You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Starter comes with a 14-day free trial. If you cancel before it ends, nothing is charged. Payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

6. Your questions

The questions you write belong to you. We only use them to store and show them for you. We never use them to train AI models, and we never send them to a third-party AI service.

7. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep dontapplyai running smoothly, but we provide it "as is". As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for hiring decisions or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we'll let you know before it takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
